Sikh Family Center works with volunteers, institutions, and partners within and outside the community to facilitate community building activities, mentoring programs, health & wellness education, as well as, to provide crucial social services, crisis intervention with special attention to cultural tradition, immigration experience, and language access.

Activities for 2018 will include:

1. Building Capacity for our National Helpline, 408.800.SEVA 7382, which continues to provide nonemergency culturally sensitive crisis intervention, resources and support for issues ranging from physical and mental health healthcare coverage family violence immigration

2. Conducting Immigration Know Your Rights information and education campaigns

3. Conducting Teen Empowerment Workshops: Preparing for Success in College, Healthy Boundaries & Consent

4. Bridging cultural gaps and building intergenerational dialogue through our Youth Ambassador Program

5. Facilitating focus groups about social service needs specific to Punjabi Sikh community

6. Creating critical health and wellness resources that can be easily accessible in Punjabi

7. Expanding network of resources and supportive direct services for the community

8. Analyzing and Disseminating results of our national Community Needs Assessment

SFC is primarily a volunteer initiative. We can use all the help! We ensure your contribution goes far & also welcome inkind donations!

Your donations can help cover:

* Motel vouchers for a woman having to leave an abusive situation

* Printing and mailing cost for immigration resources across the country

* Prepaid phones for victims of violence fleeing to safety

* Training for volunteers to sustain our National HelpLine
